Welcome to Summer Term 2…your last in Year 4 and often filled with fun summertime activities. With the half-term beginning in wonderful sunshine, let’s hope we have a last 6 weeks to remember.
Over the coming days I will ensure the key documents are below for Summer Term 2:
Welcome to Summer Term 1 everybody 🙂 a longer 7 week half-term with lots of new and hopefully exciting learning. As the weather warms and restrictions begin to ease I hope you will all have more to look forward to in your evenings and weekends. Over this past year the class have continued to impress with their efforts towards different adapted approaches to learning.
Over the coming week I will be uploading some more key documents below for Summer Term 1:
Welcome back to Spring Term 2 🙂 a short, jampacked 5 week half-term. With some normality seemingly on the horizon this half-term will likely see the return of all children to school…something that we all look forward to (following COVID guidelines of course). The children have shown great resilience and attitudes towards their learning over recent months and they should be very proud of themselves.
Forest School sessions have begun again this half-term and will continue on every Tuesday afternoon throughout.

Welcome back everyone, we really hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas break full of love and laughter. I’m sure you’re all aware of the current coronavirus situation, in particular here at OBPS. Year 4 however, remains open as usual for the time being and I look forward to welcoming you all back. With the situation seeing no improvement the correspondence from school will continue as it did for the Autumn term through posts on this page, parent mail and Twitter.
The children continued to adapt so well to new routines and I’m sure they will do so again over the next half term. One timetable change to be aware of is that Forest School sessions will not begin again until next half term.

Dear parents and children of Year 4,
Welcome to Leopards class page. Due to the current situation and guidance given we will communicate with you through Twitter, Parent Mail and here on our webpage as much as we are able to. This page like previous years will have copies of the newsletter, timetable and curriculum map. However, the page will now also include the weekly spellings list and Key Instant Recall facts that in previous years had been sent home in paper form. Reading records will however come home (only on a Monday) and be returned to school on a Thursday. This way we can safely check the amount of reading the children have been doing at home before the books are returned back to them. Inside their reading records you will also find their spelling shed login, these have been updated to show their new class.
The first week of school has been an adaptive but impressive one from Leopard class, starting any new school year can be daunting and unsettling; this one likely more so than most. Regardless of the new routines and room, the children have settled in really well and are already on their way with exploring what exciting new learning the Year 4 curriculum has to offer.
