Our Headteacher

I am delighted to be introducing myself to you all as the Executive Headteacher of Old Buckenham Primary School.

I joined the school in January 2015 having previously been the Headteacher at Wortham Primary School (Suffolk) since April 2010. Since September 2017 I have taken on the role of Executive Headteacher, leading Surlingham Primary and Rockland St Mary Primary Schools in addition to Old Buckenham.

I believe that it is such a privilege to be asked to lead any school. On my very first visit to Old Buckenham, prior to applying for the post, I sensed the warm welcoming, inclusive and community feel the school has. This is something we receive many positive comments on from visitors to the school.

The staff, governors and I aim to work hard to continually improve the provision we offer at Old Buckenham Primary School for the children, parents and wider community. Through tight collaborative partnerships with the schools and Headteachers in the local area and the Sapientia Education Trust, we are able to offer the staff opportunities for good professional development and the children access to people with a wide range of skills and areas of expertise.

Should you wish to discuss any element about the school with me, I endeavour to be at the school playground gate before school. Alternatively you can send an email or contact Miss A. Cockburn (Head of School) via the school office on office@oldbuckenham-pri.norfolk.sch.uk.
