Welcome back after the half term break. Myself, Mrs Coleman, Mrs Taylor, and our UEA teaching student Mr Corbett, all hope you had a peaceful time, whatever you did and wherever you went. This half term is sure to be full of exciting learning, new opportunities and adventures and we can’t wait to get stuck in!
Some of our topics this half term include the digestive system of humans in Science; maps, compasses and geographical skills in Geography; and the unique and fascinating skill of tessellation in Art.
Here are some documents that you may find useful: a copy of the class timetable, half-term plan and a copy of our class newsletter.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning that you would like to discuss with me, please aim to come and speak to me either before 8.30 in the morning, or at the end of the school day. Between 8.30 and 8.45 every morning, all teaching staff at Old Buckenham have a meeting with their teaching assistants, which is a crucial opportunity to discuss learning for the day and to decide on strategies to support specific children. These meetings also happen in Year 3 and are important to make sure we are supporting children in the right ways. As far as you can, please avoid coming to see me during this time.
Thank you for your co-operation and support in your child’s learning.
