Parent-School Partnership

Parent-School Partnership

Educating children is a team effort between parents and the school. At Old Buckenham we aim to establish a real partnership with parents, so that every child feels secure in the knowledge that we are working together. Close co-operation can have a lasting, positive effect on your child’s learning.

Helpful information can be found to the left, including the school admissions procedure and admissions policy.

Feedback from the parents on what  I have learned:

“I’ve never heard of phonemes, graphemes, digraphs or trigraphs – will definitely put it into practice at home.”

“Correcting sounding of words so I can help my child and what is expected so I know to help.”

“How to pronounce the letters correctly.  It will be very beneficial to me when trying to support my son in his learning.”

“Lots!  I now understand how to support my child with learning his sounds and beginning to read.  Also good to know what he will progress on to doing as he moves up the school.  Really useful – thank you.”
