Python Class (Year 6)

Welcome to the Pythons’ class page!

Teacher: Mr Brown
Teaching assistant: Mrs Baker

Dear parents,

Welcome back after the summer holidays. Myself and Mrs Baker hope you had a relaxing break and are all ready and raring to go for the new academic year!

There are lots of new routines, lessons and topics to get used to, but we are sure the children are as excited about it as we are! This half term is 7 weeks long; we break up for half term on Friday 22nd October. Some of our class topics between now and then include calculation and fractions in Maths, living things in Science, the British Empire in History, creating self-portraits in Art and athletics in PE!

If you missed the ‘Meet the Teacher’ meeting on Thursday 9th September, you can find all the information here.

The information from the Kingswood parent meeting on Wednesday 22nd September is contained here.

Here are some documents that you may find useful for this half term:

Please note that if your child has to isolate due to a positive Covid-19 test, remote learning will be available on Teams.

PE for Y6 will place on Wednesday afternoons; these lessons will be outside if the weather allows. Please ensure your child comes dressed in their PE kit, with a school fleece or jumper over the top if they wish. They should wear their trainers and bring school shoes in case these are needed to change into. The Learning Tree for Year 6 will take place after the half term break.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning that you would like to discuss with me, please make contact through Mrs Kennett in the office and I will get in touch with you as soon as I can.

Thank you for your co-operation and support in your child’s learning.
